O Google Chrome está testando uma nova ferramenta com tecnologia de IA para ajudar os usuários a identificar e evitar golpes online.
Esse recurso utiliza um modelo de linguagem grande (LLM) no dispositivo, o que significa que a análise de páginas da web ocorre diretamente no dispositivo do usuário, sem a necessidade de enviar dados de navegação para a nuvem.
Isso garante maior privacidade, pois as informações não são compartilhadas com terceiros. O LLM é capaz de examinar o conteúdo das páginas e identificar se elas parecem suspeitas ou fraudulentas, ajudando a determinar se a página está alinhada com o propósito ou marca que afirma representar.
A novidade foi descoberta por um usuário no X, que encontrou um sinalizador chamado “Client Side Detection Brand and Intent for Scam Detection” na versão Canary do Chrome, a versão experimental do navegador.
Ao ser ativado, esse sinalizador permite que o LLM analise a intenção e a autenticidade das páginas visitadas.

A funcionalidade foi projetada para oferecer uma camada extra de proteção aos usuários contra páginas fraudulentas, um recurso que pode ser valioso em um ambiente online onde os golpes estão cada vez mais sofisticados.
Essa ferramenta é apenas uma das inovações baseadas em IA que estão sendo testadas no Chrome.
Outra funcionalidade em desenvolvimento é um recurso de “Avaliações da loja”, que utiliza IA para resumir análises de sites como Trustpilot e ScamAdvisor, permitindo que os usuários verifiquem rapidamente se uma loja online é confiável.
Embora o Google ainda não tenha confirmado se esses recursos serão lançados oficialmente, a expectativa é que o sistema de alerta contra golpes seja implementado em breve, já que a empresa busca fortalecer a segurança e a privacidade de seus usuários.
Isso é especialmente importante com o aumento das ameaças digitais, incluindo golpes baseados em IA.
