O Brasil acaba de entrar na lista de países com suporte ao recurso de detecção de apneia do sono no Apple Watch . A novidade foi lançada em setembro junto com o watchOS 11, e está disponível nos modelos mais recentes do dispositivo.
A Apple confirmou a notícia nesta terça-feira (17) após o sinal verde da ANVISA (Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária.
“A partir de hoje, chega ao Brasil um novo recurso do Apple Watch que ajuda a identificar sinais de apneia do sono moderada a grave. Para que ele possa oferecer o recurso de notificação de apneia do sono, a Apple obteve uma licença para equipamentos médicos da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária”, informou a empresa em nota.
Como funciona a detecção de apneia do sono no Apple Watch?
A detecção de apneia do sono foi introduzida com o watchOS 11 para Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Series 10 e Apple Watch Ultra 2 ;
O recurso usa o acelerômetro do Apple Watch para detectar potenciais distúrbios respiratórios durante o sono ;
A cada 30 dias, o Apple Watch analisará os dados de distúrbios respiratórios e notificará os usuários caso apareçam sinais de apneia do sono moderada a grave para que eles possam falar com seu médico sobre diagnóstico e tratamento;
Para funcionar, tanto o seu iPhone quanto o Apple Watch devem executar o iOS 18 e o watchOS 11 . Além do Brasil, o recurso também está disponível nos EUA, Canadá, Japão, África do Sul, Reino Unido, União Europeia e muitas outras regiões.
